Daniel Huxtable - Instructor - 3rd Dan Black Belt
Daniel has been studying Karate and Kickboxing since early 2004 and has proved to be a talented and able student. In more recent times he has found his passion for teaching both the adults and the children as well as being appointed the Head Coach for our Fighting Team (G&K) and Team Wales.
He was awarded his Third Degree Black Belt in April 2016.
Daniel was proud to be announced as the winner of the Active Swansea Sports Awards Junior Male Personality of the Year in December 2011 and was presented with his Trophy by the BBC Sports Commentator Mr Jason Mohammed at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea.
He has won many trophies and medals in external and internal competitions in the UK and overseas in the area of Sports Karate and is a World Champion Gold Medallist at traditional Karate Kumite and Semi Contact Points Fighting.
Titles include a Silver medal at the World Championships in Florida in 2008, a Bronze medal in 2009 in Spain and his Gold Medal in 2010. He also has taken 1st place in points fighting in the WAKO Welsh Open, 1st place in the National Championships in 2008, 2nd in the WKA Welsh Open, 2nd in the European Open Championships and 3rd in the Welsh Ring of Champions. In 2013, Daniel took his second World Title in the Teams Event in Tuscany and Silver in the individuals. In his first World Championships as an Adult, he took his 3rd World Championship in 2015. In 2016, he added British Gold and Bronze, European Silver and World Silver to his collection.
Daniel was Welsh Contact Grand Champion in both Points and Continuous fighting in 2008. In Continuous fighting, he has achieved 3rd place in both the WKA and WAKO Welsh Opens. In 2009 Daniel won the Welsh Grand Championship for Musical Forms . He also won the Welsh Championships and ECKA Open in 2010
Daniel has represented Team Wales in the since he was 9 years old and now fights for WAKO (World Association of Kickboxing Organisations) Team GB.
In 2019 Dan came back from the ICO World Championships with 3 Golds in three consecutive weight classes, -60kg, -65kg & -70kg.
Dan also runs his own Kickboxing brand Fightwear Store UK he started this whilst studying Graphic Design at University. He now lives in Bynea, Llanelli and teaches in at G&K Kickboxing Academy and at our adjoined which is his dojo the Points Fighter UK Training Academy.
